This policy explains what information WHYBE'26, organized by TechnoCrats GSV, collects when you register for or interact with the event, and how that information is used.

1. Information We Collect

When you register for WHYBE'26 via our registration form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, college/institution, and team name. Payment of the ₹80 entry fee is handled separately by the organizers and is not processed through this website.

2. How We Use It

To confirm team registrations and manage check-in on hackathon day.
To send updates about schedule, venue, and logistics via email or the contact details provided.
To publish team names and scores on the public leaderboard once the event begins.

We do not sell participant data. Information may be shared with event sponsors or mentors only where necessary to run the hackathon (for example, judging), and with service providers (such as our registration form host) strictly to operate registration.

4. Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Any local storage used is limited to remembering your on-site preferences (such as menu state) and is never sent to our servers.

5. Data Retention

Registration data is retained only as long as needed to run WHYBE'26 and for reasonable record-keeping afterward, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your registration data at any time by contacting us using the details below.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as WHYBE'26 evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
